Plants for large scale mass planting projects need to be low maintenance, drought tough and able to cope with harsh conditions. Often when specifying, choosing the right plant height is critical, so we have list the plants from shortest to tallest. We have also only listed plants that are reliable and require little fuss.
Some plants however work in some states and not others, so we have also listed the regions where the plant can be used.
When mass planting plants, it is critical to prevent weed invasion. On our quick selection guide we list plant densities. To quickly outcompete weeds we recommend the higher planting rate. If maintenance is good, and you prefer to better see the well-defined shape of a plant, then it is suggested to use the lower rate. As soil type is critical to success we have listed preferred soil type as well.
